Dash of sugar syrup (optional)

Half a lime

Method
Another classic by-passing Tonic water, which is almost as old as the Tom Collins and was originally made with Bourbon.
1.
Half a lime squeezed then dropped into tall glass
2.
Add 45ml Jarrold’s London Dry or Old Tom
3.
Dash of sugar syrup (optional)
4.
Stir and top up glass with soda water
5.
Garnish with two full slices of lime
