G&T lovers know their usual mix, but don’t forget the flavour and alcohol in Jarrold’s is deliberately strong; it’s how we like it! For our perfect mix we reckon that less is more so we enjoy the above measurements for a refreshingly crisp and smooth G&T:
Tonic Water – Nowadays we are spoiled for choice! However, we do recommend mixing Jarrold’s with a premium Indian Tonic Water for best results. With a wide range to choose from don’t forget to be bold now and again and try a tonic that will add a hint of sweet or savoury to your favourite tipple. When you find your perfect match, let us know so we can have a go!
Soda Water or Sparkling Mineral Water? – We prefer Soda Water as the carbonation is added rather than being natural making it a better choice as a mixer. Sparkling Water which can contain several minerals (such as magnesium, potassium, and calcium) which can be distracting in a cocktail.
Garnish – Lemon or Lime is typical, but don’t be shy to try Berries or Herbs in your G&T. We think a sprig of thyme delivers a delicate herbal note that perfectly complements the Persian Limes we use in the distillation.
Glass – Will it be a Tall Collins, a round Copa, or a cup and saucer? Your choice of course – if it feels good, then it is good. We like to drink our G&T’s from a tall glass but to be honest, we get a huge delightful whiff of our botanicals no matter what vessel is used…so sip away and enjoy!
